Depersonalization and derealization are quite common; up to 50-70% of people will experience it at some point in their lives. For some, the condition persists and is a symptom connected to anxiety, trauma, and stress. Depersonalization is a feeling of observing yourself from the outside while derealization is a feeling of living in a dream/movie or feeling disconnected from your environment.

If an individual experiences persistent symptoms of feelings of detachment, either bodily or cognitively, from themselves or their environment, then a diagnosis of Depersonalization may be considered.

Symptoms including feeling: numb, disconnected from your emotions, like a robot, like you're living in a dream, a lost sense of self, unable to experience emotions, disconnection between mind and body, and foggy
